It is said that the only thing guaranteed in life is change. And we would have to agree! Everything is always moving, growing, expanding or contracting, it’s inevitable!
Most of us struggle with change but we can guarantee you that change can also be good. Let me give you a few examples:
Our beautiful Katie is back from an 18 month maternity leave and we are so excited! Her energy and smiling face has been missed around the clinic.
Also, we want to welcome Robin Bouck to the clinic! Robin is a Registered Social Worker who will be here on Fridays. She works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression and trauma. She also supports clients through life transitions, particularly in relationships, employment and grief.

To book an appointment or get more information, you can contact Robin directly at robinbouckmswrsw@hushmail.com
And there’s the exciting change of weather these last few weeks. We are writing this on the morning of a big snowfall and it’s truly beautiful out there.
In these changing times, we want to make sure you are safe as you navigate this weather.
Here are some tips to help you stay aware in these conditions:
1. BE MINDFUL
Avoid Overexertion: If you’re working on exercises that require you to move outside, keep your movements controlled and slow to avoid injury.
Stay Warm: Cold weather can stiffen your muscles and joints, which could make movement more difficult or increase the risk of injury. Make sure to dress warmly and stretch gently to prepare your body.
2. FIND BALANCE
Balance and Stability Training: Make sure to Incorporate balance exercises into your routine. Mobility and core exercises can be beneficial in this weather. They can help you improve your coordination and minimize fall risks.
Use Supportive Devices: If you’re not comfortable on uneven or icy surfaces, use a walking stick, cane, or walker for extra support.
3. BODY AWARENESS
Listen to Your Body: Pay close attention to how your body feels before, during, and after exercises. Snow and cold can increase muscle stiffness, so be sure to stretch gently before doing anything intense.
Stay Focused: When performing exercises in snowy conditions, it’s crucial to stay mindful of your surroundings. Stay focused on your steps, posture, and breathing to prevent any accidents.
